Biography

Victor "Vic" Schoen was an influential American bandleader, arranger, and composer. His remarkable career lasted from the 1930s until his passing in 2000. He had the privilege of creating music for some of the most renowned artists in show business, such as Benny Goodman, Glenn Miller, Count Basie, Tommy Dorsey, Harry James, Les Brown, Woody Herman, Gene Krupa, George Shearing, Jimmie Lunceford, Ray McKinley, Benny Carter, Louis Prima, Russ Morgan, Guy Lombardo, Carmen Cavallaro, Carmen Miranda, Gordon Jenkins, Joe Venuti, Victor Young, and even the famous Boston Pops conducted by Arthur Fiedler. Additionally, he led his own orchestra, The Vic Schoen Orchestra.
