Biography
Mark Lanegan, an American singer-songwriter and musician in the alternative rock genre, was born on November 25, 1964. Growing up in Ellensburg, Washington, Lanegan began his music journey in 1985 when he co-founded the grunge band Screaming Trees with Gary Lee Conner, Van Conner, and Mark Pickerel. Alongside his work in the band, Lanegan also pursued a solo career, releasing his first solo studio album, The Winding Sheet, in 1990. Over the years, he has released six more studio albums, gaining positive reviews and achieving moderate commercial success.
