Biography

John Ono Lennon, also known as John Winston Lennon, was a renowned English musician, singer, and songwriter. He gained global recognition as one of the founders and members of the Beatles, a highly successful and critically acclaimed band in the history of popular music. Alongside Paul McCartney, Lennon formed one of the most revered songwriting partnerships of the 20th century. In the late sixties, Lennon departed from the Beatles shortly after meeting Yoko Ono. He then established the Plastic Ono Band and embarked on a prosperous solo career, creating music until the birth of his second child, Sean Lennon, in 1975. Lennon's return to the public eye occurred in 1980 with the release of his LP "Double Fantasy." Nevertheless, tragedy struck on December 8, 1980, when Lennon was fatally shot by Mark David Chapman, an unstable and disturbed individual. The incident occurred in front of his residence, the Dakota Building, situated in New York City.
