Biography
New Boyz, an American hip hop/rap group and former jerkin' crew duo, is composed of Earl "Ben J" Benjamin (born October 13, 1991) and Dominic "Legacy" Thomas (born October 12, 1991) from Hesperia, California. Their debut album Skinny Jeanz and a Mic, released in September 2009, gained popularity with the viral hit "You're a Jerk". This track brought the jerkin' style to widespread attention, reaching the top thirty of the Billboard Hot 100. They followed up with the successful single "Tie Me Down" featuring Ray J, also peaking in the top thirty. Their second studio album, Too Cool to Care, dropped in May 2011, featuring the top 40 hits "Backseat" with The Cataracs and Dev, as well as "Better with the Lights Off" featuring Chris Brown. Moreover, they collaborated with Hot Chelle Rae on the song "I Like It Like That", which reached #28 on the Hot 100 chart.
