Tex Ritter, born as Woodward Maurice Ritter on January 12, 1905, was a renowned American country music artist and film actor. He gained popularity during the mid-1930s and remained a beloved figure until the 1960s. Tex Ritter is also known as the head of the acting dynasty, the Ritter family, which includes his son John Ritter and grandson Jason Ritter. He has been honored as a member of the prestigious Country Music Hall of Fame.
