Albert George "Al" Hibbler was an American baritone vocalist known for his work with Duke Ellington's orchestra and his success as a solo artist. While some of his singing fell into the rhythm and blues genre, he is most accurately described as a fusion of R&B and traditional pop music. While not considered a jazz singer, Hibbler was highly praised for his ability to interpret popular songs of the twentieth century and had the honor of collaborating with some of the finest jazz musicians of his era.
