Trouble is a renowned doom metal band from America that is considered one of the pioneers of their genre, sharing the spotlight with bands like Candlemass and Saint Vitus. They developed a unique style by incorporating elements of British heavy metal legends Black Sabbath and Judas Priest, as well as the psychedelic rock of the 1970s. Critically acclaimed, their albums Psalm 9 and The Skull are recognized as significant milestones in doom metal, while their releases in the early 1990s on Def American showcased a more stoner metal-oriented sound. To date, Trouble has released six studio albums. Although the band never officially disbanded, they experienced prolonged periods of inactivity after their original vocalist, Eric Wagner, departed in 1997. He later rejoined in 2000 but left again eight years later.
