Melissa Arnette Elliott, also known as Missy Elliott, is an accomplished American artist who excels in various fields such as rap, singing, songwriting, record production, dancing, and acting. With an impressive collection of five Grammy Awards under her belt, Elliot has sold over thirty million records in the United States alone. She holds the distinction of being the only female rapper to have six albums certified platinum by the RIAA, including one that reached double platinum status for her 2002 release, "Under Construction." Elliot is widely recognized for her string of popular hits and captivating music videos.
