Hailee Steinfeld, born on December 11, 1996, is an American actress, fashion model, and singer. She has received multiple nominations and accolades, including an Academy Award, Golden Globe Award, BAFTA Award, and Critics Choice Awards. She won the Critics Choice Award for Best Young Performer. Steinfeld rose to fame with her role as Mattie Ross in True Grit (2010), which earned her widespread recognition and an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress. She further gained prominence with roles in films such as Ender's Game (2013), Romeo & Juliet (2013), Begin Again (2013), and 3 Days to Kill (2014). Steinfeld also appeared as Emily Junk in Pitch Perfect 2 (2015) and Pitch Perfect 3 (2017), earning her a Golden Globe Award nomination for Best Actress - Motion Picture Comedy or Musical for her portrayal of Nadine Franklin in The Edge of Seventeen (2016). Outside of her acting career, Steinfeld showcased her musical talent by performing "Flashlight" in Pitch Perfect 2 and subsequently releasing a cover version of the song. She later signed with Republic Records and released her debut single, "Love Myself", which achieved platinum certification in multiple countries.
