They say that if you're camping by a billabong at night
To look out for those bunyips 'cause they'll scare you out of sight
They're supposed to be ferocious with a breath as cold as ice
But I know lots of bunyips and they're really very nice
There's a bunyip sleeps on the end of my bed
He's got four eyes and a big double head
He gets annoyed and his faces turn red
But he keeps all the flies away
There's another one sleeps at the end of my room
With feet like a frog and hair like a broom
He drinks dishwater and my mum's perfume

I'm not scared, scared of bunyips
They're not scared of me
If you meet a real live bunyip
Ask him home for tea

And he's got big toes and a long sharp claw
He scares the dogs with his bunyip's roar

All they'll want to do is eat ya
Don't believe what people say
Bunyips don't behave that way

And he walks around with a smile on his face
He hides his teeth in a pillow case

He's not very wide but he's very very tall
He can roll himself up and bounce like a ball

So don't be scared of bunyips
They're not scared of you

Ask him home for breakfast too

And he wears sunglasses 'cause he thinks he's cool
Everywhere he writes "Bunyips Rule"
