The Wretch is a popular comic book series brought to life by the creative team of Phil Hester and published by Slave Labor Graphics. This gripping tale immerses readers in the eerie atmosphere of Glass City, a peculiar town safeguarded by a mysterious being named the Wretch. Unpredictable and bizarre occurrences are the norm in Glass City, including encounters with extraterrestrials, dark sorcery, and even deranged clowns. Thankfully, the Wretch stands as the unwavering force that prevents these calamities. Originally introduced as "The Creep" in Joe Pruett's anthology title, Negative Burn, the Wretch eventually earned his own dedicated series. Initially, the four-issue series was published by Caliber Comics, which was then succeeded by a six-issue run published by Slave Labor Graphics. Notably, the Caliber series gained recognition as an Eisner award nominee for best new series.
