Cardi B, whose real name is Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, was born on October 11, 1992. She is an American rapper, songwriter, and television personality from The Bronx, New York City. Cardi B gained initial fame by openly discussing her experiences as a stripper on social media. She rose to Internet stardom after her posts and videos went viral on platforms like Vine and Instagram. In pursuit of her music dreams, she appeared as a regular cast member on the VH1 reality series Love & Hip Hop: New York from 2015 to 2017. During this time, she released two mixtapes, Gangsta Bitch Music, Vol. 1 and Vol. 2.
