Russell Watson, an English tenor, was born on November 23, 1966. He has released singles and albums of both opera-style and pop songs. He began singing at a young age and gained recognition after performing at a working men's club. In 1999, he caught the public's attention by singing "God Save the Queen" at the Rugby League Challenge Cup Final at Wembley Stadium, as well as "Barcelona" at the last match of the Premiership season between Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford.
