Inna, whose real name is Elena Alexandra Apostoleanu, is a popular Romanian dance-pop singer, dancer, and occasional songwriter. She was born on October 16, 1986, near Mangalia, Romania. Inna gained fame with her debut single "Hot," which was released on November 12, 2008. The song was produced by Romanian Dance music trio Play & Win. "Hot" performed well on the Romanian Top 100 charts, reaching number five in December 2008, and gained airplay success worldwide. In March 2009, Inna released her second single titled "Love," which peaked at number four on the Romanian Hot 100 in April 2009. Another successful single was "Déjà Vu," which reached number seven on the Romanian Top 100 in July 2009. This song was also a hit in Russia, as well as in Hungary and other countries in the Western world.
