Judy Garland, also known as Frances Ethel Gumm, was a highly talented American actress, singer, and vaudevillian. Widely recognized for her exceptional contralto voice, she became a worldwide sensation during her impressive 40-year career. Not only did she excel in both musical and dramatic roles, but she also made a mark as a recording artist and a concert performer. Her remarkable range of skills earned her numerous accolades, including a Juvenile Academy Award, a Golden Globe Award, Grammy Awards, and a Special Tony Award. Her outstanding performances in the 1954 remake of A Star is Born and the 1961 film Judgment at Nuremberg garnered her nominations for the Academy Award for Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress, respectively.
