Charles Aznavour, born Shahnour Vaghenag Aznavourian in 1924, is a renowned French and Armenian singer, songwriter, actor, public activist, and diplomat. With immense popularity in France and worldwide recognition, Aznavour is celebrated for his distinctive tenor voice, characterized by its clear and ringing upper range and deep, gravelly low notes. His versatile career includes over sixty movie appearances, the composition of approximately one thousand songs (including 150 in English, 100 in Italian, 70 in Spanish, and 50 in German), and the sale of more than 100 million records.
