Biography

The Boo Radleys were a British band from the 1990s known for their alternative rock sound influenced by the shoegazing and Britpop movements. Founded in 1988 in Wallasey, Merseyside, England, the band consisted of Rob Harrison on drums, Sice Rowbottom as the singer and guitarist, Martin Carr as the guitarist and songwriter, and Timothy Brown as the bassist. They derived their name from the character Boo Radley in Harper Lee's novel "To Kill a Mockingbird" published in 1960. Following the release of their first album, Hewitt joined as the new drummer, replacing Rob Harrison, and later on, Rob Cieka took over the drums. The band disbanded in 1999.
