Scouting for Girls is a three-piece English pop group that took inspiration from the 1908 Scouting handbook titled "Scouting for Boys" to create their name. The group consists of childhood friends from London, including Roy Stride on piano, lead guitar, and vocals, Greg Churchouse on bass guitar, and Peter Ellard on percussion. They formed in 2005 and signed with Epic Records in 2007. Their self-titled debut album, released in September of that year, reached Number 1 on the UK Album Chart and achieved triple Platinum status in terms of total sales. In April 2010, they released their second album, "Everybody Wants To Be On TV", which peaked at number 2 on the charts. The single "This Ain't a Love Song" from that album topped the UK singles chart for two weeks. To date, Scouting for Girls has sold over 2 million records[citation needed], received four Brit award nominations, and one Ivor Novello award. Currently, they are preparing to release their third studio album titled "The Light Between Us".
