Dada (pronounced /ˈdɑːdɑː/) or Dadaism was a revolutionary art movement that emerged in Europe during the early 1900s. Originating in Zurich, Switzerland in 1916, it quickly gained momentum and reached Berlin. As Dona Budd states in her book The Language of Art Knowledge,
