Biography
Peggy Mann, whose real name was Margaret Germano, was a well-known American Big Band singer in the 1930s and 1940s. She collaborated with renowned musicians such as Henry Halstead, Ben Pollack, Larry Clinton, and Teddy Powell. Additionally, she also pursued a successful solo career before deciding to retire from the music industry in the early 1950s. Born in Yonkers, New York, Mann was recognized for her unique and captivating singing style, which earned her a dedicated fan base. Notably, she had the opportunity to fill in for Joan Edwards on the radio version of Your Hit Parade. Sadly, Peggy Mann passed away in the summer of 1988.
