Biography
Jason Joel Desrouleaux, best known by his stage name Jason Derülo, is an American artist who excels in singing, songwriting, acting, and dancing. Prior to his own musical career, Derülo produced records for various artists and wrote songs for renowned figures such as Birdman, Lil Wayne, and Diddy, who are associated with Cash Money Records and Young Money Entertainment. After signing with Beluga Heights, a minor recording label, Derülo made his debut with the release of the hit single "Whatcha Say" in May 2009. This track was a massive success, selling over five million digital downloads and receiving a double platinum certification from the RIAA. It reached number 1 on the charts in both the United States and New Zealand. Following this triumph, in December 2009, Derülo released his second single, "In My Head." His first full-length album, self-titled "Jason Derülo," was released on March 2, 2010. He then continued his musical journey with the release of his second studio album, "Future History," on September 16, 2011.
