Beyoncé Giselle Knowles-Carter was born on September 4, 1981, in the United States. She is a well-known singer, songwriter, record producer, and actress. Originally from Houston, Texas, Beyoncé displayed her talents from a young age by participating in singing and dancing competitions. In the late 1990s, she gained fame as the lead singer of the R&B girl-group Destiny's Child. Managed by her father, Mathew Knowles, the group became one of the most successful girl groups worldwide. During their break, Beyoncé released her debut album, Dangerously in Love, in 2003. This album marked the beginning of her solo career and achieved global recognition. It won five Grammy Awards and included two number-one singles on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, namely "Crazy in Love" and "Baby Boy".
