Over a Texas sky
The air was thick and still
The sky a dead-eyed blue
The change was subtle
As a baby's breath
Just enough to tip the scale
And then the wind began
To spin and gather speed

To hold my ground against the gale
Lightning passionate and searing
Thunder shook me by the skin
Rain clapped down
So hard against me
I felt like it had flipped me
And the storm now roiled
Within
