Dave Matthews, born on January 9, 1967, is a singer-songwriter, musician, and actor. Originally from South Africa, he later became an American citizen. He is most famous for being the lead vocalist, songwriter, and guitarist of the Dave Matthews Band. When performing, Matthews predominantly uses an acoustic guitar and focuses on creating rhythmic patterns rather than playing solos.
