Biography

ABBA, a Swedish pop group, was formed in Stockholm in 1972. The group consisted of Agnetha Fältskog, Benny Andersson, Björn Ulvaeus, and Anni-Frid Lyngstad. The name ABBA is an acronym derived from the first letters of the band members' first names and is sometimes represented by the trademark symbol ᗅᗺᗷᗅ. ABBA achieved remarkable commercial success in the history of pop music, with chart-topping hits worldwide from 1972 to 1982. Notably, they won the 1974 Eurovision Song Contest, securing Sweden's first victory in the competition and becoming the most successful group to ever participate in the event.
