Biography
Alison Maria Krauss, born on July 23, 1971, is a singer, songwriter, and musician from America known for her bluegrass-country style. She began her music career at a young age, impressively winning local contests by the age of ten and making her first recording at just fourteen. In 1985, she signed with Rounder Records and released her debut solo album in 1987. Subsequently, she became a member of the band she continues to perform with, Alison Krauss and Union Station (AKUS). In 1989, she released her first album as a group with AKUS.
